Sunday 17th June 2012, saw Polly Veazey-French head up to Ripon, in Yorkshire to do the Newby Hall Triathlon. Due to adverse weather conditions, the event was changed into a duathlon, as both the height and speed of the river was too dangerous. Polly road the 25 mile bike section in a Personal Best time of 70 minutes and 38 seconds. Prior to the bike ride she had already ran some 2 miles; then after the 25 mile bike ride she got off her bike and ran a further 6 miles. Polly came home 1st Lady by a consierable distance, in an overall time of 2 hours 6 minutes and 16 seconds.
Each week Polly cycles 50 miles to receive Sports Massage to help keep her injury free.
